Welcome to my Blog!

Hello and Welcome to my Blog!

First of all, thank you so much for stopping by. 🙂

My name is Iolanda and I am the owner and digitizer of Everyday Designs Boutique.

I started my online boutique in September 2011. All started off as a hobby and has turned into a passion. I started to quilt a little over ten years ago, and I loved it since then.

In 2010, I bought my first embroidery machine and I got introduced to the embroidery and applique’ world. Wow, I surely loved it and quickly I combined my quilting with the embroidery. I fell in love with the applique’ and its techniques. I made a couple of quilts such as “Tiny Town” and “Blessings of Summer.”  I really enjoyed them.

That same year, I also purchased my first digitizing software and I learned to design and digitize my own artwork. What a satisfaction is to be able to draw an image and convert it into stitches. I have been digitizing since then. Later, I purchased two more digitizing software and a commercial embroidery machine.

My love for sewing, quilting, embroidering, and appliqueing has been growing through the years. I now teach digitizing and embroidery at my local quilt stores, and I run my business from home. My studio is located in the basement of my house, and it is my own place away from my everyday chores.

The main focus of this blog is to share my love for creativity with you all and to show you useful tools and techniques to make digitizing and embroidery easy.

Many topics such as stabilizers, hoops, threads, needles, placement, and much more will be covered soon along with digitizing classes.

Stay Tuned. More has to come …

Hugs,

Iolanda
